Hello! We are Nick & Jen and we moved to France in late 2021, bought a beautiful old farmhouse and gîtes, and have been lovingly restoring them since. We both have a passion for traveling and love meeting new people and sharing travel stories. After staying in many beautiful AirBnBs around the world ourselves, we wanted to create our own special destination for guests to enjoy and make memories in. Being vegan in France can sometimes be difficult and we want to share our knowledge and make it easier for vegan holidaymakers to enjoy the incredible cuisine that France has to offer. We look forward to welcoming guests from all over the world. We're trying our best to learn French and are having weekly lessons, so we look forward to practicing with French-speaking guests!

There's also a very popular restaurant, bar, wood-fired pizza takeaway, tabac shop, various artisanal makers, and a museum and abbey. Around the gîte there are countless stunning walks to explore including seeing the historic dolmens close by.
The closest markets, supermarkets, and amenities are just a 10 minute drive away in neighbouring Aigre and Ruffec. Aigre has a weekly market and two wonderful boulangeries, a bar, and restaurant. Ruffec has two markets per week and a good selection of shops and restaurants.
The magnificent Verteuil Sur Charente is only a 15 minute drive from the property, with its envious views of one of the most stunning chateau in France. The small but perfectly formed village is full of charm with its several restaurants and bars and weekly Sunday market, it’s a firm favourite of everyone who visits.
The Charente river can be accessed within a ten minute drive and there are many places to hire kayaks, paddleboards, and pedalos along the river, it's a great way to spend an afternoon!
